Early Bird

Getting out of bed early is not always my favorite thing, but it’s worth it to see sunrises like this!

I’ve been trying hard to get up at a decent hour lately and I find that I rarely regret getting up early. I get so much more done and I feel like my day is more than get up, go to work, come home. I especially love when I can motivate myself to get a run in before work. I always feel so much better for the rest of the day. I got out to the beach for my run just before the sun rose and a misty layer of fog sat over the horizon. I always sense something mystical and slightly eerie whenever I can’t see the horizon.

The fog had started to lift by the time I finished up my run. The beach is so peaceful this time of morning, so I sat for a while and watched the sunrise.

….Then I did a morning check of the garden.

A few green beans were ready to be harvested.

My mint is thriving! Yup, a springtime mojito party is definitely in store.

This lettuce should be ready for harvest in a few weeks. I planted three varieties and am looking forward to a lot of springtime salads:)

Hopefully these will keep on growing and I can top my salads with some fresh cucumbers!

Well, I’m not sure about getting a worm, but I did get to take a nice run, watch the sunrise, and spend some peaceful time outdoors, all before 8am.

Sea ya later!
